Animal ink drawings monotypes and Tetrapak etchings describe creatures in various states.

Nancy Chilton

Exhibition in the gallery of Nancy Chilton's ink drawing, monotypes alongside the 1 million dots + 1 million species installation. Both of these projects addressed human relationships to the environment and animals. In addition, Nancy also taught a workshop on how to draw animals in ink using book pages.

Nancy Chilton Animals statement:

As long as I can remember I’ve enjoyed drawing people of all species-as portraits, figures, characters in stories, as containers of thought and emotions, agents of introspection, kinship, conflict and communication. These ink drawings monotypes and Tetrapak etchings describe creatures in various states of rest, action, becoming, and gathering. They are also a visual record of my thinking process, as in Edouard Glissant’s definition of thought: to tremble with the trembling of others.
